Spice Market Dress

This dress began as a Rachel Zoe tunic — a richly printed brick red and rust botanical in blush, cream, and lavender, with a heavily embroidered V-neckline yoke worked in orange, purple, sage, and cream geometric patchwork. Balloon sleeves with elasticated cuffs. A garment that was already beautiful, and already complete.

We didn't agree.

Each tunic was extended into a full-length modest dress by adding panels of upcycled cotton and rayon below — stripes, botanicals, florals, borders — chosen to carry the warmth and density of the original print downward rather than interrupt it. The result is a tiered, patchwork-hemmed dress that reads as intentional from the first glance and rewards a longer look.

Sizes small through large share the same skirt combination: a cool multistripe band, a bright pink large-scale floral panel, and a warm orange and rust stripe at the hem. The XS is the exception — it features a warm multistripe band, a deep golden yellow botanical print in magenta, and a chartreuse and teal tile-pattern border at the hem, the most colorful of the six.

The skirt panels drape and move — lightweight and breathable for summer.

Care: Hand wash cold or delicate cycle. Hang to dry. Never put in the dryer. Steam or warm iron to remove wrinkles.

Color note: Colors look different based on indoor versus outdoor lighting. Colors in real life are somewhere between studio lighting on flat lays and outdoor lighting photos on the model.

A note on the fabric: These dresses are made from upcycled textiles — fabric that has already lived somewhere before it came here. Because of that, some pieces carry slight imperfections: a variation in weave, a faint mark, a subtle irregularity. We consider these signs of the fabric's history, not flaws in the garment. They are part of what makes reclaimed textile work honest, and part of what makes each piece genuinely one of a kind.
