Show off your Palestinian pride with this handmade one-of-a-kind cotton camo jean jacket! The sweetest piece of wearable resistance art ever #handmadebymichaela. Michaela only uses authentic made in Palestine kuffiyas.
ONLY ONE MADE
Each one is handmade by Michaela in her sewing studio in Seattle, WA. This one is made with a brand new up-cycled Kensie brand camo jacket.
Size Medium:
- Bust measures 45" around
- Length is 22" long so on someone who is 5'7" it will hit approx below the waist in between navel and crotch.
- Shoulder span is 20" because it is a dropped shoulder style
This jean jacket is decorated with an authentic, made in Palestine, kuffiyah plus a mixture of curated embellishments including vintage metallic ribbon.
Image on the back of the jacket is of a vintage postcard from pre-occupation Palestine/Jerusalem. The Palestinian/Turkish women are wearing traditional textiles and dress. Since the postcard is nearly 100 years old, it is unclear whether the women are Turkish or just an orientalist incorrect take on who the women are.
The postcard reads (in French, English and German):
“JERUSALEM
Femmes turcs.
Mohammedan Women.
Mohammedamische Frauen.”
Sizing considerations: Please refer to measurements for a perfect fit. Cut boxy and is a size medium but can flex to a size large.
Care: Spot clean or hand wash only in cold water and hang to dry. The woven nature of the Kuffiyah fabric is not meant for machine washing.
