The piece will be sold to the highest bidder when the auction closes. The opening bid reflects the garment's retail price. Of any amount raised above retail, 70% will benefit Barakah Beauty Collective and 30% will go to the artist. The highest bidder at closing wins the piece.

A singular wearable artwork created for the Threads of Renewal 2026 runway.
Built in the Michaela Corning Power Silhouette Abaya, the front is constructed from reclaimed Ralph Lauren denim originally used as a comforter. The dramatic patchwork back brings together individually assembled pieces of upcycled denim and culturally specific textiles to create a visual tapestry of identity, migration, community and belonging.
The denim was sourced through the Barakah Community Closet alongside reclaimed denim generously gifted by Seattle slow-fashion brand Prairie Underground.
Every section was individually selected, arranged and constructed by hand. There will never be another one exactly like it.
