This hijab is dedicated to Ashley in honor of the interview and photoshoot she is doing inshallah at Yale University talking about her being Native and Muslim. 

"Mitakuye Oyasin" means "we are all related" in Lakota
The phrase translates in English as "all my relatives," "we are all related," or "all my relations." It is a prayer of oneness and harmony with all forms of life: other people, animals, birds, insects, trees and plants, and even rocks, rivers, mountains and valleys.

Color: Black and wheat pattern Pattern placement varies. 

Feel: Very lightweight and soft feeling. Does not require an under cap.

Available styles: Slip-on or regular wrap style.

    Handmade in Seattle, WA by local fiber artists paid fair wages.

    Slip-on style: Sewn on one side, so they can be slipped on without securing them and then wrapped around the head or around the neck - your choice! Short side is on the left and long side is on the right.
