Beautifully handmade by Michaela Corning in her studio in Seattle, WA.
This is a very special piece representing the fusion of many cultures and traditions. The lambskin leather tassel was handmade, cut and configured by Michaela using simple tools and topped off with a Turkish metal cap. The ribbon cord is called Telli, which is a cotton and artisan metal hand woven ribbon from the UAE and Oman. It is made by Bedouin women and usually used to decorate dresses. It is not only striking but also very strong. When you buy one of these pieces, you are supporting both local US artists and women living abroad.
Telli cord measures approx. 30" around.
Leather tassel measures approx. 2.5" long. Silver Plated with a dangling hamsa.
